Bennish back in the game

It looks like Colorado school teacher Jay Bennish has been reinstated.

Officials declined to say whether social studies instructor Jay Bennish faced disciplinary action, but his attorney, David Lane, said Bennish would be back in the classroom Monday "with full pay."

Bennish had been on paid leave from Overland High School in suburban Aurora since March 1 while Cherry Creek School District determined whether he violated a district rule that teachers must present balancing viewpoints in the classroom.

[...]
"Jay's teaching style will perhaps be, as some would say, a little more fair and balanced on a minute-to-minute basis," Lane said. "When you put out one side, put out the other then and there."

Fair and balanced huh? I thought one of the complaints from the left was that he did nothing wrong? If he did nothing wrong, why does he need to be more "fair and balanced?"

Was this caused by pressure from the ACLU lawyer that represents Bennish? Time will tell.

This is a small blog and I have very few readers, but if you are one of Bennish's students (or if you know one), I'd like to make a suggestion: Record more of Mr. Bennish's lectures. If he continues to push his left wing agenda in the classroom, we should at least have a record of it.

The man uses his position as a teacher to push his political views as fact. If he continues to do so, I want to know about it--as should every parent who is concerned about their child getting a balanced education.

Hat tip to Stop the ACLU.
