Denmark in the Muslim Doghouse

Denmark is under fire for a series of cartoons depicting Mohammad, cartoons like this one:

This has been a source of irritation for the Muslim world for sometime. Recently, however, it came to a head. Some Palestinians took over an EU office in Gaza City to protest the cartoons.

About five gunmen stormed the building, closing the office down, while 10 other armed men stood watch outside. One of the militants said they were protesting the drawings, one of which depicted Islam's Prophet Muhammad wearing a turban shaped as a bomb.

Heh. That's kinda funny, actually. What's even funnier is that they apparently have no problem making fun of Christians but can't seem to take it themselves.

I think the religion of peace is having an identity crisis. Or just being plain childish.

So far, the Danish are standing up to this nonsense. The EU seems to be standing by them thus far, but it is entirely possible that political correctness will win out and the rest of Europe will succumb to multiculturalism, leaving Denmark to fend for itself. Hey, that's just how Europe rolls.

So what can be done? For starters, how about buying Danish products? There's a Buy Danish Campaign encouraging people to buy Danish products. Being the fan that I am, I should have known that this was a Danish product. Now I have an excuse to get this. Gotta use that tax refund for something.
